Eurovision 2024: il testo di “Doomsday blue” di Bambie Thug (Irlanda)

L’Irlanda torna all’Eurovision Song Contest con concrete speranze di qualificazione in finale – evento che manca dal 2018 – grazie a Bambie Thug e la sua “Doomsday blue”.

Artista e personaggio fuori dagli schemi (all’anagrafe Bambie Ray Robinson) classe 1993. Definisce la sua musica infatti “ouija-pop” per mettere in risalto il mix di generi che contraddistinguono le sue canzoni e anche per richiamare il mondo della stregoneria e dello spiritismo, che Bambie Thug ha vissuto anche concretamente tramite tarocchi, sigilli e rituali.

Non a caso, dopo il successo dell’ultimo EP “Cathexis“, Bambie Thug è arrivata a vincere il concorso di selezione nazionale Eurosong 2024, con “Doomsday blue”, un brano sull’amore dato e non corrisposto che racchiude al suo interno parti jazz, pop e elettro-rock oltre che, nel testo, formule magiche come “Avada Kadavra”.
