Eurovision 2025: il testo di “Bird of pray” degli Ziferblat (Ucraina)

Saranno gli Ziferblat con “Bird of pray” i rappresentanti dell’Ucraina all’Eurovion 2025 di Basilea (Svizzera). Non ci poteva essere modo migliore per la band, formata da Daniil Leshchynskyi, Valentyn Leshchynskyi e Fedir Khodakov, di celebrare i 10 anni di attività. Formatisi infatti nel 2015, gli Ziferblat sono una delle band alternative rock più quotate in Ucraina. Al loro EP di debutto “Kinoseans” nel 2017 hanno fatto seguito l’apprezzato singolo “Vnoči” nel 2019 e il primo album, “Peretvorennja”, nel 2023.

Erano tra i possibili partecipanti al Vidbir, concorso nazionale per l’Eurovision Song Contest, già nel 2022, ma non rientrarono tra i 10 finalisti. La prima partecipazione arriva così nel 2024, quando si piazzano secondi con “Place I call home” dietro a alyona alyona & Jerry Heil, mentre nel 2025 vincono il concorso. “Bird of pray” parla della sofferenza della separazione dovute alla guerra, utilizzando la metafora dell’uccello come messaggero di libertà.
