Eurovision 2025: il testo di “Freedom” di Mariam Shengelia (Georgia)

Mariam Shengelia rappresenterà la Georgia all’Eurovision 2025 dopo una scelta interna della tv pubblica. Non è, in ogni caso, un nome completamente nuovo nel panorama eurovisivo.

Mariam, infatti, aveva già tentato di rappresentare il proprio paese nel 2020 partecipando alla selezione georgiana “Geostar” classificandosi sesta. Nello stesso anno, cioè nell’edizione dell’Eurovision eliminato a causa dell’epidemia da COVID-19, Mariam sarebbe dovuta essere corista di “Take Me as I Am” di Tornike Kipiani.

“Freedom” è un brano pop in parte in georgiano e in parte in inglese. Si tratta di un inno alla libertà e alla speranza di non cedere mai di fronte ai momenti difficili della vita grazie al legame con la propria terra.
