Eurovision 2026: il testo di “Fire” di Sarah Engels

La rappresentante della Germania all’Eurovision Song Contest 2026 è Sarah Engels (Colonia 15.10.1992), che ha vinto il concorso nazionale “Das deutsche finale” con il brano “Fire”.

Sarah Engels è una cantante tedesca con origini italiane, i suoi nonni infatti sono siciliani. La sua carriera inizia nel 2011 con il secondo posto conquistato nella versione tedesca di Pop Idol, dietro al suo ex-marito – anche lui con origini italiane – Pietro Lombardi, con cui è stata sposata dal 2013 al 2019 e con cui ha composto anche un duo musicale di successo.

Nel 2020 ha preso parte al primo Free European Song Contest, concorso ideato da Stefan Raab come alternativa all’Eurovision Song Contest nell’epoca Covid, rappresentando l’Italia (e arrivando al 13° posto). Da quell’anno si è rilanciata nel mercato musicale tedesco, collaborando anche con l’ex-rappresentante della Svizzera nel 2019 Luca Hänni nel singolo “Ma bonita“.
