Eurovision 2026: il testo di “Jalla” di Antigoni (Cipro)

La rappresentante di Cipro all’Eurovision 2026 è Antigoni, al secolo Antigoni Buxton (Londra 9.3.1996), selezionata internamente dall’emittente cipriota CyBC. A Vienna porta il brano “Jalla”, parola unicamente usata a Cipro e che in greco cipriota significa “ancora” o “di più”.

Antigoni Buxton è una cantante inglese con origini greco-cipriote per parte di madre. Deve la sua popolarità alla partecipazione alla versione inglese del reality Love Island nel 2022, ma il suo percorso musicale inizia nel 2014. Nel 2025 i suoi singoli “Habibi” e “Sleeping Alone” hanno avuto successo in patria, permettendole così di aprire le date londinesi del tour europeo di Marina Satti, rappresentante della Grecia all’Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
